Moodboard

This part of my blog will detail the moodboard we have created for inspiration

media moodboard
Since we wanted our music video to be representative of our artist's past, we wanted it to feel dreamy and nostalgic. We have two moodboards to represent this. The first one represents our artist as coming from a rural area, we want the music video to reflect this by including more rural locations featuring a lot of nature and less infrastructure. The other one will reflect her moving into the city to pursue her dreams so will feature more modern-looking infrastructure

Reflection:
  • I found doing this storyboard fun as it was nice to put our ideas together. It also helped us visualise our music video, making sure that we all understood the direction we were going towards
  • A lot of our struggles from this music video came from the fact that we wanted to do a city scene. One of our options would be doing a POV shot as I was going to Jakarta so we could make it appear like it was the artist exploring the city for the first time while another option was to do it in a more city-like area in Bali. However, we decided not to go with either of these as we were worried the reading would not be decoded well by the audience
